Seth Rollins retains Intercontinental title after defeating The Miz at WWE Backlash
Seth Rollins had no problem defeating The Miz this Sunday at WWE Backlash. He retained the Intercontinental title and prevented his rival from making history.
The Miz not only lost the chance to regain the belt, but also to become the first in history to take an individual title from all three members of The Shield.
Interestingly, The Miz has defeated Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, former teammates of Seth Rollins, when they have been Intercontinental champions. That is to say, he only needs the 'Architect' to complete the trilogy.
The only one who has been able to defeat these three characters when they were champions was Sheamus. However, it was a tag team title.
