Superstar Shake-up 2018: WWE Draft kicks off with surprises
The XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, was the venue for the WWE Superstar Shake-up. The first part of the 2018 Draft took place on RAW, where more than 15 superstars arrived on the red show from SmackDown and NXT.
The first wrestler to arrive at WWE RAW was Jinder Mahal. The 'Maharaja' arrived with airs of greatness; however, he ended up losing the United States Championship to Jeff Hardy. In this way, the 'multicolor' became a Grand Slam champion.
Another surprise was the return of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to WWE. After fighting for a contract last week on RAW, Stephanie McMahon decided to give them the opportunity to be on the red show.
On the other hand, Drew McIntyre was promoted from NXT to RAW thanks to the Superstar Shake-up. The Scotsman appeared on the WWE show as an ally of Dolph Ziggler, attacking Titus O'Neil and Apollo.
Meanwhile, the only transfer to SmackDown so far is The Miz. The former Intercontinental Champion will land on the blue brand by express request of Daniel Bryan.
