On May 19, UFC will hold its first event in Chile, and the leading mixed martial arts company has decided that the main fight of the show will be between the Nigerian Kamaru Usman and the Argentine Santiago Ponzinibbio
Both welterweight competitors who are in the top ten of the category.

Both fighters have important winning streaks within the company
On one hand, Usman has seven consecutive victories being the last one against Emil Meek in UFC Fight Night 124. On the other hand, Ponzinibbio comes with six consecutive victories, with the last one against Mike Perry in UFC on Fox 26.
It has previously been rumored that both had accepted the confrontation. For weeks, Ponzinibbio challenged several fighters in his division, from Tyron Woodley to Donald Cerrone, but it was recently known that he had reached an agreement with UFC to face Usman.
