Gladys Tejeda and Raúl Pacheco were honored by the Peruvian Athletics Federation. The ceremony was led by the president of the institution, Óscar Fernández, who was delighted to be with the medalists at the 2015 Pan American Games.

"Gladys (Tejeda) is a great athlete. We always trust her, and she demonstrated her talent," said the president. He also expressed his support for her regarding the alleged case of positive doping. "We fully support her," he added.

Note that he also referred to Raúl Pacheco , winner of the silver medal in the marathon. "Pacheco didn't win this time, but I'm very confident that he will come out to win in the next race," he said.

Gladys Tejeda and Raúl Pacheco represented well in the discipline of athletics in Toronto 2015. In fact, Inés Melchor didn't arrive in her best moment, but she ran despite her injury in the 10,000 meters race and finished fifth. Bravo!
