As part of the "The Gate of Evolution 2017" tour, Ricochet had a series of three special appearances with Dragon Gate. At the end of this tour, it was announced that the high-flying wrestler was saying goodbye to Japan, so the company organized a very special farewell ceremony.

Prior to that, Gamma and K-ness defeated Kagetora and Big R Shimizu. K-ness issued a challenge to Kagetora, his former teammate in Jimmyz, for the Open the Brave Gate Championship.

In a special match, Ricochet and CIMA (from the historic Blood Warriors team) reunited for the last time to face YAMATO and Kzy from Tribe Vanguard. The former were the winners.

CIMA still had conflicting feelings when an unpleasant surprise occurred. In the main event, his group Over Generation (Dragon Kid, Eita, Masaaki Mochizuki, Ryo Saito, and Susumu Yokosuka) lost to VerserK (El Lindaman, Shingo Takagi, T-Hawk, Takashi Yoshida, and Yasushi Kanda) due to Eita's betrayal, who took Dragon Kid's mask.

Eita stated that he no longer felt comfortable being part of Over Generation, as it was a faction of old and injured wrestlers, and he preferred to join VerserK. CIMA couldn't believe it but resignedly accepted Eita's decision.

Then the farewell ceremony followed, CIMA emotionally spoke about Ricochet's brief return to Dragon Gate. Originally, only one appearance by the American gladiator was planned for the event "The Gate of Destiny" on November 3rd, but things went very well and his stay was extended for three more shows. This was his final appearance with the company and in Japanese arenas, so he deserved a dignified farewell. Emotional CIMA wished him luck in his new projects (there are strong rumors that Ricochet will join WWE starting in January of the following year), and amidst the applause of the attendees, the high-flying wrestler said goodbye. All his Dragon Gate teammates came out to applaud him, and even Yosuke ♥ Santa Maria (the company's exotic wrestler) received a kiss from Ricochet.
