Paulo Costa Calls Out Derek Brunson

It seems that a new rivalry is forming in the middleweight division that could lead to an interesting fight in early 2018. After his recent victory, Paulo Costa challenged his teammate Derek Brunson.

Then the American fighter accused him of doping, and the Brazilian responded by saying that he is afraid to fight him.

"He's crazy. He's scared. He doesn't want to fight me. USADA tests everyone all the time. Like others, he doesn't want to fight me. But I'm ready. I am the new generation of Brazil, and I will be the next legend."

Then again, Brunson attacked his teammate, mocking the way he looked in the past by posting a photo.

Costa didn't like this either and responded in this way.

"He said that USADA doesn't test me frequently and that if they did, he could fight me in the middle of next year. I tell him he's a coward. I don't know where he gets his information. Just this month, I've been tested five times. And since I've been in the UFC, I've been tested ten times. I'm going to post the results on Twitter and we'll see what excuses he comes up with then.

I'd like to break his face. He's scared, and he's a liar. I want to know what his next excuse will be for not fighting me. He'll have to say whether he accepts the fight or not. If he's scared, he'll have to admit it. Johnny Hendricks is a real man, he accepted the fight and didn't make any excuses. If UFC chooses someone else to fight against him, it will only prove that he's scared. If I fight him, I will end his career."

There is no doubt that this could be a very interesting fight for the division.
