The Bludgeon Brothers' Future in Doubt
The latest edition of SmackDown Live had many repercussions, both on and off script. AJ Styles' victory to win the WWE Championship was overshadowed by the controversial behavior of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, which who knows what final repercussions it will have. Another detail, of lesser media impact, was a new promo about the debut of the Bludgeon Brothers (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan). However, in the last stop of the UK tour, a fact has been reported that has raised doubts about the continuity of these new characters.
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan appeared at yesterday's house show of the blue brand in Leeds without any trace of the attire or entrance music of these "Mallet Brothers". In fact, they entered the ring under Harper's old music and with the typical attire from their time in The Wyatt Family. It should be mentioned that alongside Mike Kanellis, they faced Tye Dillinger and The Ascension... and lost. Gareth Smith, a Twitter user, shared these photos:

Of course, this fact has raised suspicions among fans, and several media outlets are already reporting that WWE has ultimately decided against granting these new characters to the duo. Despite the commotion, it could be an isolated incident, as we know that live events represent a parallel world to the "official" episodes shown on screen. Thus, we witnessed the paradoxical event of Triple H joining The Shield last week during the same tour.
Although many also remember the cancellation of the character that recent ex-McMahon Emma was going to portray, which generated expectation and was expected to be a great boost for her. The Bludgeon Brothers have also been well received by fans, so that doesn't mean that the word of the WWE Universe is final. The ultimate authority lies with the executive leadership, who for some reason beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, may have decided that Harper and Rowan will not debut on television with new personalities.
