Government to support entities affected by sanctions for the whistling of the Spanish anthem in the Copa del Rey final between FC Barcelona and Athletic Club

According to the Secretary General of Sports of the Generalitat, Ivan Tibau, the Government will support the affected entities and will help them legally appeal the sanctions.

"We will stand by the entities to provide them with legal advice and try to appeal the sanctions," said Tibau in an interview with Rac1.

Tibau has stated that the Government does not advocate for whistling, but he regrets that "it is said that this creates violence, when it is really an attempt to silence the people."
