The champion Deportivo Cali will play against Uniautónoma for the third round of Colombian soccer.

Silence and desolation in the stands of Palmaseca stadium

The coach of Deportivo Cali, expelled, located in one of the boxes, and on the field, a green and white team eager to celebrate a new victory; unbalanced but effective with every step into the opponent's area.

Cali had precision in finishing plays and a life insurance in the goal. Ernesto Hernández was only defeated by a teammate, Germán Mera, who scored an own goal after a shot from Víctor Cortés, which meant a goal reduction in the score for Uniautónoma (26').

The visitors did not control the excitement that came with reducing the score, they triangulated, tried to control the game, but gave up containment.

Consequently, Santos Borré showed no mercy. Cali celebrated at the start and end of the first half. Just over a minute into the game, when an inspired Yerson Candelo won the end line, inside the area, crossed back and Borré touched it with his right foot and celebrated, as he also did in the 42nd minute; the third goal for the sugar growers was a poetic goal... high pressure from Andrés Pérez, backheel from Candelo to Borré who stopped his run before entering the area, looked at goalkeeper Sebastián López and chipped the ball over him.

The second goal also had Candelo as an assistant: with his usual vertical center with his right inner edge, he looked for Harold Preciado, who won the duel against defender Camilo Mancilla and scored low (8').

Uniautónoma offered little resistance. Giovanni Hernández's team looked a bit better with the ball... showed attacking variations, with width on the flanks and direct shots. Cali's goalkeeper succeeded in one-on-ones against Pablo Rojas and James Sánchez, who sent a weak shot.

Cali only needed to accelerate to celebrate. They made the game look very easy, very weak for their opponents. Shortly after the start of the second half, the Barranquilla goalkeeper deflected a crossed shot sent by Preciado, and then saw the ball pass near his right post after a left-footed shot from Nicolás Benedetti, who like Juan David Cabezas came on for the complementary stage - Cabezas received a red card in the 71st minute.

The home team scored the fourth goal after a defender's mistake that, after a corner kick, left the ball near the goal for Preciado (63'). And the fifth goal was the result of an elaborate play... Benedetti played a through pass to Borré, who crossed his shot (73').

Cali recorded their second victory in the league and reached 6 points. In the next match they will play at home again, against Tolima (also without an audience). Uniautónoma, who is in the relegation zone and only managed to get one point out of a possible 9, will play at home against Chicó.
