After Betis' defeat in Lepe, the green and white coach Pepe Mel insisted on the need to sign players with skills: "We have to look for alternatives in the market to have players who can dribble. Betis has been lacking that since last year and so far we haven't signed any players of that type."

"I didn't like the Coria match anymore. We are a predictable team, easy to defend against, and we will have problems. We still have time to solve it."
Work:
"It's preseason and we are working in the morning and afternoon. The players are tired and we will gradually release some burden as the weeks go by. We will play against Athletic next week and we will try to make sure the team arrives fresher both physically and mentally. But I am concerned about the other aspect, that when we reach the edge of the penalty area or the wing, we dribble or cross the ball."
