Inter de Porto Alegre couldn't continue their furious attack from the first 10 minutes

when they were already winning 2-0. The pressure in the midfield allowed them to recover the ball near the area and let Andrés D'Alessandro and Valdivia shoot from midfield to give the Brazilians the lead. D'Alessandro beat goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán with a left-footed shot, while Valdivia did it with a right-footed shot that brushed defender Víctor Ayala.

Tigres regained control of the match and in the 23rd minute, they scored a goal with a header from Ayala that exposed Inter's weaknesses in defending aerial balls. Led by Uruguayan Egidio Arévalo-Ríos, they took over the midfield and pushed Inter away from their own area.

The Brazilian team was far from their performances in the previous stages when they appeared more dynamic and had more volume of play. The Mexicans preferred to defend their away goal and gathered their defenders and midfielders in their own half, which slowed down the pace of the game.

With this advantage obtained in Belo Horizonte, Inter only needs a draw in Mexico to reach the final of the Copa Libertadores, a title they have already won twice. Meanwhile, if Tigres wins 1-0, they will be the ones advancing to the series of matches that will determine the champion of America 2015.
