No es su temporada. LeBron James will be out indefinitely as he will enter the COVID-19 protocols implemented by the NBA. It is still unknown whether the Lakers' star is suffering from the disease or has been in contact with someone infected. The 36-year-old basketball player is having a difficult season, as he has only played 11 out of 24 games of the competition.
According to the National Basketball Association (NBA), a person who enters the coronavirus protocols must be isolated for 10 days and, depending on the result of the discard test, they can reintegrate into the team or not. This situation further complicates 'The King', who will not be present in the next four games.
On Tuesday night, the Lakers faced the Sacramento Kings; on Friday 3 they will face the Clippers; on Tuesday 7 they will play against the Celtics; in addition, on Thursday 9 and Friday 10, they have games against the Grizzlies and Thunder, respectively. LeBron will not be present in any of these matchups.

LeBron James and the reasons for his absences
Throughout the current NBA edition, the 'King' has suffered an ankle injury and an abdomen injury, both of which prevented him from playing several games. In addition, he had to serve a one-game suspension for elbowing Isaiah Stewart of the Detroit Pistons. Now, his possible COVID-19 infection is added to the list.
LeBron joins the list of those who followed COVID-19 protocols
Since March 2020, when the NBA implemented safety measures due to the pandemic, Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) are some of those who have complied with the mandatory isolation. Even Joe Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers was out of the game for three weeks in November after testing positive for coronavirus.
