Speedy recovery. Spanish player of AC Milan, Brahim Díaz, tested positive for Covid-19, the Italian club announced on Friday.

Brahim Díaz, 22-year-old forward of AC Milan, is in good condition and remains in isolation at his home, said the Serie A club.

"AC Milan announces that Brahim tested positive in a swab carried out today (Friday). (...) The entire team underwent tests with negative results," said the 'rossonero' club.

No date for Brahim's return to the field.

"I am isolated in my house after testing positive for coronavirus. Fortunately, I am fine, thanks for your messages. Now I have to support the team from here for a few days!" reassured the Spanish National Team international from his Twitter account.

The player on loan from Real Madrid will miss at least AC Milan's match on Saturday at home against Hellas Verona and Tuesday's match against Porto in the Champions League.

On Wednesday, French international Theo Hernandez had also tested positive for Covid-19. Brahim Díaz joins as an absence for AC Milan in the upcoming Serie A and Europa League matches.

The team led by Stefano Pioli will face Hellas Verona on Saturday at the iconic San Siro stadium.

They currently sit in second place in the Italian first division tournament, two points behind the leader Napoli. (AFP)
