Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for COVID-19
The Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for COVID-19 and will leave the Portuguese national team camp, with whom he was going to face Sweden this Wednesday.
The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) reported on Tuesday in a statement about the player's positive test, stating that he is "well, without symptoms, and in isolation".
After Ronaldo's positive test, the rest of the Portuguese national team players were tested on Tuesday, and all results came back negative.
The Juventus forward is the third player from the "quinas" to leave the Portuguese camp due to a positive COVID-19 test, following the cases of José Fonte and Anthony Lopes.
Ronaldo, 35 years old, started in the match that Portugal played against the French national team in Paris on Sunday for the UEFA Nations League.
Portugal will play another match in this competition on Wednesday against Sweden at the Estadio José Alvalade in Lisbon.
