Positive COVID-19 test result removes Mbappé from France squad

"The result of his UEFA COVID-19 test on Monday morning was positive and he was withdrawn from the group after receiving the results at the end of training before returning home in the evening," said the FFF.

The PSG forward took the test along with his teammates from the French national team ahead of Tuesday's match against Croatia, which he will no longer be able to play.

The FFF emphasized that, "like the entire delegation, Kylian Mbappé had undergone a test" before the Sweden-France match last Saturday and "the result was negative".

Mbappé thus joins the positives of PSG players Neymar, Icardi, Di Maria, Paredes, Navas, and Marquinhos, detected last week.
