The 'Mexican Messi' Luka Romero could be the youngest debutant in LaLiga
Luka Romero, 15, has been called up for the match that RCD Mallorca will play this afternoon against Villarreal CF, putting the Mexican-Argentine player in a position to become the youngest debutant in the history of LaLiga.
Romero, known as the 'Mexican Messi', can debut at the age of 15 and 221 days, which would make him the youngest player to play a league match in Spain, ahead of Francisco Bao Rodríguez "Sansón" (Celta, 1939-40, at 15 years and 55 days), Pedro Irastorza (Real Sociedad, 1933-34, 15 years and 288 days), and Óscar Ramón Pellicer (Zaragoza, 1984-85, at 15 years and 289 days).

Luka was born in Durango (Mexico), but his family is Argentine and he has already played and scored goals for the albiceleste national team in the past South American U-15 Championship in Brazil.
Moreno has included him in all the training sessions held by the first team in the different phases of de-escalation following the coronavirus pandemic.
