All England Lawn Tennis Club Supports Coronavirus Recovery

The All England Lawn Tennis Club has announced a series of contributions to support local, national, and international coronavirus recovery efforts following the cancellation of this year's tournament, the Wimbledon Championship.

The donation, totaling 1.36 million euros, has been raised by the club, the Wimbledon Foundation, and the tournament itself.

Ian Hewitt, the President of the All England Club, emphasized that while they prepare for a year without the tournament, their "top priority is the health and well-being of those who make Wimbledon possible and those who are suffering from the pandemic."

"We believe that Wimbledon has the responsibility and capability to act as a force, using our resources to help those in need, especially in times of crisis like this," he added.

The All England Club will continue to take measures to assist those affected by the coronavirus, as well as to show gratitude to frontline workers in the fight against the pandemic.

This year's tournament was cancelled, while the 2021 edition is scheduled to take place from June 28th to July 11th.
