Claudio Pizarro debuts with Werder Bremen this Sunday (8:30 a.m. Fox Sports) when they face Hoffenheim for matchday 4 of the Bundesliga. The national striker has been called up among the 18 players on the green team.
"It will depend on the course of the game to know how many minutes Claudio Pizarro can play. Anthony Ujah and Aron Jóhannsson (forwards) could play on the field alongside Pizarro in the team's attack. We will evaluate it," said the Werder Bremen coach, Viktor Skripnik.
Claudio Pizarro signed for the third time with Werder Bremen a week ago. The last game of Pizarro was on June 29 against Chile in the Copa América: he played 17 minutes. The Peruvian striker is looking for continuity in his team ahead of the start of the Russia 2018 qualifiers.
