Empowered. This is how the renowned national pilot Annia Cilloniz feels, who is about to conquer the title of the Crosscar Category in the National Ronex Park Championship. She is the only woman in competition and this fills the motorsport enthusiasts with pride.
On Sunday, September 18, at the impressive Ronex Park Circuit in Lurin, Annia defeated all her rivals and consolidated herself at the top of the overall classification. "Happy about this new achievement and we won't stop until we win the title," she declared to the international portal Peru Motor.
That day, the fourth race was held and Annia surpassed experienced drivers like Lucho Mendoza and Juan Carlos Tassara. "Racing against men alone is pure adrenaline," added Annia Cilloniz.
In the general table of the Crosscar Category, Annia has 125 points, followed closely by Alex Heilbrunn (119) and Juan Carlos Tassara (108). The fifth and final race will take place between November and December and the expectation is high.
In this category, renowned drivers like Mario Hart, Nicolás Sevil, Diego Heilbrunn, and Nicolás Landa also compete, among other established names.
"The first race of the Championship was an exhibition and I didn't participate. But I did compete in the remaining three races and always made it to the podium," Annia Cilloniz told us. She is sponsored by Stanley, Mobil, SONAX, and Aym Cars.
The National Ronex Park Championship is new in Peru. It has been held since this year. It is like a circuit rally with several competitors at the same time. In tubular cars with a 1000cc motorcycle engine.
Its official venue is the Ronex Park Circuit in Lurin, where motorcycles, quads, and crosscars are also racing on the same day.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME
Annia Cilloniz takes on the National Ronex Park Championship as excellent preparation to compete in November in the FIA Rally Star, which is a program of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) that seeks talent worldwide.
"If I do well in the FIA Rally Star, there is the possibility of going to race in Europe next year," said a super excited Annia Cilloniz.
The engines are running at full throttle and Annia Cilloniz is ready to make history in national and world motorsport.
