The great Astros campaign did not go unnoticed
The National Professional Basketball League recognized Mexican player Jorge Gutiérrez as the Mexican MVP of the season, as well as Spanish coach Sergio Valdeolmillos as the best coach.
The Jalisco team was the overall leader of the LNBP, in addition to reaching the playoffs with a record of 12 consecutive victories.
For Jorge Gutiérrez, the trophy he received, although it is an individual recognition, prefers to give credit to his teammates; in addition, he thanked his family who has supported him at all times.
"It is an individual trophy, but it is something that adds to the collective, to what we have done as a team and organization, there are many sacrifices, not only mine but also my family's, basketball still excites me, trying to be the best and help my teammates to be better."
Astros will face Soles de Mexicali this Sunday at 15:00 hours in the start of the LNBP postseason.
