The current socio-political situation in Colombia puts the realization of the Copa America 2021 into question.
The protests of the Colombian population continue in the coffee-growing country less than a month before the start of the continental tournament.
The national team player, Christian Ramos, is against the Copa America 2021 being held in Colombia.
"I believe that the Copa America cannot be played in Colombia. The country needs to fix its situation and see if we can go and play there. As a human being and a football player, one must stand with the people, one comes from the town and owes it to that," Ramos told RPP.
"If the Copa America is right now, I would say it should change its venue, but I don't know what will happen in the future. There is still time to see what happens there," he expressed.
The Copa America 2021 will be held from June 11th to July 10th.
