The Tungurahua Automobile Club issued a statement related to the second round of the Provincial Rally Championship of the Heights, which was scheduled to take place yesterday and has been postponed until May 12 due to the poor condition of the road where the competition was supposed to take place.

According to the club, an agreement was reached with the Department of Public Works of the Provincial Council of Tungurahua to inspect the routes where the test would pass, as the bad weather affected roads and sections at the start of the Pasa prime and in the Casigana sector.

Due to the bad weather, the machinery of the Provincial Council of Tungurahua had to be moved to the Joaquina sector, on the road to Pillaro, to attend a road emergency where a landslide occurred, causing a delay in the requested repairs on the competition route.

In order to guarantee the development of the race, the Tungurahua Automobile Club hired private machinery, which will attend to and solve the problems on the road, starting next Tuesday, May 1.

For this reason, the organization of the test decided to postpone the rally. (D)
