Nicolás Fuchs continues to advance steadily in the Dakar Rally 2018
The Peruvian driver is the highest ranked in the cars category and has reached the 10th position in the overall standings, after finishing 13th in the Sunday stage, stage 8, along with his co-pilot Fernando Mussano, recording a time of 5h 56 38.
Nicolás Fuchs has a total time of 33h 38 and 09 in the eight stages that have been completed so far in the Dakar Rally 2018. 'Nico' is six hours behind the leader, Spanish driver Carlos Sainz, who has a total time of 27h 04.
Nicolás Fuchs is aware that the Bolivian scenarios are very challenging. Therefore, for each stage, he creates a strategy to avoid losing too much time due to the difficulties presented by the terrain in the Dakar 2018 passage through the plateau country. In the previous stage, reaching Uyuni was a setback, as he finished in 24th place for the stage, obtaining the 11th position in the general standings.
There is less than a week left for the Dakar 2018 to finish and Nicolás Fuchs, in the car category, has a clear goal, as he wants to stay in the top 10, as he wants to make history again and finish the rally among the top 10 best drivers in the world.
But not only Nicolás Fuchs is improving his position compared to last year's participation. In this Dakar 2018, Fernando Ferrand is in a remarkable 26th position, while Miguel Álvarez and Fernanda Kanno are in 48th and 49th positions, respectively.
