The Dakar Rally will start on January 6th and one of the most interesting appearances is that of Portuguese coach André Villas-Boas, who will leave the football fields to take control of the wheel. The strategist talked about the Peruvian National Team and the players who will go to Russia 2018.

"I am proud that such a small nation will be at the World Cup, and the players I know best are André Carrillo and Paolo Guerrero. I also know about Nolberto Solano, who is no longer playing," explained the coach to the sports media.

The quality of 'La Culebra'. "He is an interesting player, his departure from Sporting cost, but now he is succeeding, very well trained by my friend Marco Silva and I hope he plays that decisive role in the Peruvian team," added the strategist.

On the other hand, Villas-Boas expressed that his goal is to continue coaching, but in the competitive European football: "I want to return to football in June and since I want to go back to Europe, it opened up the opportunity for me to participate in the Dakar, which has been one of my dreams since I was a child."
