Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is declared safe for F1 Grand Prix in Mexico
Following the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Mexico City and surrounding states on Tuesday, September 19, a thorough inspection of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez was carried out by certified experts and the supervisors of the latest renovation project to evaluate the condition of the structures and track.
No structural damage was found on the layout, permanent stands, or buildings after the inspection, ensuring that the venue is suitable to host the third edition of the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix, as stated in a press release.
In addition, condolences were sent to the victims of this natural disaster, and it was confirmed that the sporting events scheduled for this week have been suspended and will be rescheduled.
