After the abuse towards Peruvian Athletics coach, José Luis Chauca, by the treasurer of the institution, María Letts, the Peruvian Athletics Federation and the Office of the Ombudsman expressed their opinion.
Through a statement released on their official Twitter account, the Board of Directors of the Peruvian Athletics Federation rejected María Letts' expressions and apologized to coach Chauca for what happened.
"What happened differs radically from the spirit and Olympic values that our sport professes and practices. As the governing body of athletics in Peru, we apologize to coach Chauca. We will wait for the delegation's return to take the corresponding actions."
As you may recall, the senior category long-distance runner and coach in athletics, José Luis Chauca Ascues, had an uncomfortable moment when he received orders shouted by the treasurer of the institution during a live interview.
