Carlos Bacca and Teófilo Gutiérrez return home and receive accolades for their international football performance.

This Wednesday night, with a dinner at the Hotel Dann Carlton in the capital of the Atlantic, Junior and Barranquilla FC paid tribute to their two illustrious sons.

At the event, which served to introduce Junior's new president, Fredy González Rubio, both forwards were presented with plaques of recognition, who made their debut at Barranquilla and shone at Junior.

In attendance were Junior players and coaching staff, along with their wives and members of the Board of Directors: Jimmy Char, Roberto Char, Alejandro Arteta, and Humberto Insignares.

The presence of Fuad Char, members of the Board of Directors of Barranquilla FC (Ernesto Herrera Díaz Granados and Roberto García), as well as the families of the honorees, was also highlighted.

The attendees watched two videos with several goals and best moments of Bacca and Teo in their sports career.

Carlos Bacca: "I thank the Char family for giving me the opportunity to join the professional team. I am a fan of this team and I want to retire at Junior. Having this tribute fills me with great happiness."

Teófilo Gutiérrez: "These two institutions are important in my life. In Barranquilla FC I grew up in football and then Junior, which is like my family."
