Junior defeated Deportivo Cali 3-2 in the 16th round of the FPC, thanks to two goals by Carlos Bacca, who was decisive in the team's victory.
Bacca scored eight goals in the championship. He had gone three matches without scoring and returned to scoring against Cali. The first goal didn't seem to be his: while the replays pointed to an own goal by Lasso, El Heraldo confirmed that Wilmar Roldán awarded the goal to the forward.
He scored the second goal in the second half with his goal-scoring instinct that surpassed Cali's goalkeeper, who offered a weak response.
With these goals, Bacca reached 93 in his Atlético Junior career. He is now only one goal behind Teófilo Gutiérrez in the list of all-time top scorers for the club, while he still has a long way to go to equal Iván René Valenciano's record of 166 goals.
