Jalisco Charros break losing streak with shutout victory

A solo home run by Japhet Amador and a great outing by Daniel Guerrero gave the Charros de Jalisco the victory in the third game of the series against the Cañeros at Estadio Emilio Ibarra Almada, ending their four-game losing streak.

After a poor performance 24 hours earlier, this time the Charros pitcher delivered. Daniel Guerrero allowed only two hits, two walks, and struck out seven in six innings to earn his fourth win of the season. However, the Charros offense struggled in Los Mochis, as they could only manage six hits in 30 at-bats without Amador's home run.

Iván Salas (0.0), Stephen Shackleford (1.1), and Aaron Kurcz (1.2), the latter earning his eighth save, combined to seal the victory.

With the win, Jalisco improves to a 15-16 record and remains in sixth place in the standings, one game behind the fifth-place Cañeros.

Starting today, the Charros will face the league-leading Tomateros in the final series of the first half of the season.
