Gael Sandoval ready to take on Toluca
Gael Sandoval has had a tournament of contrasts and that is why he considers this last match against Toluca as a rematch that marks the beginning of a resurgence for Santos Laguna.

He returned from Bravos de Juarez from the Ascenso MX to make his debut in the top flight and last Sunday the homegrown player scored his first goal in the Liga MX, which allowed the Santos team to pave the way for victory against Jaguares and thus add 3 fundamental points, aware of the obligation to recover lost ground.

"We are aware that we had a terrible tournament, but we are thinking about the next match, looking for the 3 points, finishing well, in the best way, with confidence to have a good preseason and have a better tournament," said the footballer.
"Many times we can easily blame the coach or the players, we have all had a bad tournament, all teams have gone through that, there are details that need to be fine-tuned but that count a lot, there is no one to blame, many things came together and that caused us to have a bad championship," he explained.
Regardless of the above, the 21-year-old midfielder assured that the group is thinking about an immediate rematch because the team needs it, and during this FIFA date, they will focus on achieving those 3 points.
"These are things that one learns, this tournament didn't work out, we are aware of that, we all want a rematch, we have to have a good preseason, have a good tournament, and clean this up," he said.
