Formula 1 Returns to Mexico

Despite the fact that Formula 1 is returning to the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit for the second year in a row, it is still a good test for the grid, as stated by Kimi Raikkonen, who is seeking revenge in Mexico.

After studying the strategy in depth, the Ferrari driver acknowledged that the differences compared to other circuits make the Mexican course a real challenge.

"It's good to be back, especially because it's quite different from the rest and that makes it an important challenge. This time I hope it will be much simpler since we have already identified the places where there is not so much grip. Although going too fast is deceptive because with the altitude we lose grip on the track," said the Finn who is currently in fifth place in the drivers' championship this season.

The Iceman, who had a problem with his car at the Austin Grand Prix, assured that the strategy adjustments for the return to Mexico will be crucial to achieve good results.

"It's a good challenge, but it's the same for everyone. The experience from last year helped us plan for this occasion and be more prepared," he added.

As for the rule changes looming in Formula 1, Raikkonen hopes that they will not affect the driving style they have maintained so far, although he expects there to be variations that make the competition more exciting.

"We often have rule changes and that dictates how the car will behave, how the engine is built, and how much fuel is used. But despite all those changes, I don't feel there is a difference in the way we drive. We race in the same way, although the changes require the engineers to come up with new things, pushing them to their limits and creating new things to go faster," he concluded.
