The Mexican Grand Prix is the next test for Sergio 'Checo' Perez and Esteban Gutierrez.
So far this year, the tapatío has shown great performance by placing himself within the top 10 positions of the Grand Circus.
'Checo' is seventh in 2016 with 84 points, and his goal is to maintain that position until the end of the year to "close my best season in Formula 1".
Sunday will be Pérez's 112th race in the category, although his Force India car will not guarantee him a place on the podium at the Hermanos Rodríguez.
"Under normal race conditions, I don't see it possible, there is no way, there are three teams that, with the mere car they have, can think of getting on the podium", however, 'Checo' did not lose hope. "If there are any external factors, such as rain or circumstances with the cars in front, it could happen".
In Gutiérrez's case, the path has been somewhat more complex.
Esteban, from Haas, will race in the Mexican Grand Prix, his 57th race in F1, and he will arrive in the country's capital without a point in the drivers' classification, but with the hope of scoring. "I will do everything to achieve my first points, to have my best result of the year".
The Mexican Grand Prix will take place from October 28th to 30th at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
