Real Madrid Players Train Ahead of Champions League Draw
Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Welsh Gareth Bale trained at Real Madrid's sports city before traveling to Monaco, where the Champions League group stage draw will take place on Thursday and the Best Player in Europe will be announced, with both of them and Frenchman Antoine Griezmann in the running.
Before heading to the Monegasque capital, where this afternoon Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale will find out if they are the best player of the season for UEFA, they both trained in Valdebebas. The Portuguese continued with his specific training plan to return in the best possible condition after the league break for international matches.
The Welshman was one of the available players for coach Zinedine Zidane, who focused on tactical aspects in the morning with the second La Liga match and the visit to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium by Celta de Vigo in mind.
Alongside Cristiano, his compatriot Fabio Coentrao trained separately, and Frenchman Karim Benzema continues to train alone due to sacroiliitis. Meanwhile, Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas did gym work, confirming his absence against Celta as well.
