The FIFA president confirms that the 2034 World Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia

Teams from around the world are competing for a spot in the upcoming 2026 North America World Cup, with the exception of Mexico, the United States, and Canada, as they are the host countries. However, FIFA president Gianni Infantino has shifted some attention away from the mentioned international tournament by confirming where the 2034 World Cup will take place: Saudi Arabia.

This was communicated through a message on their social media platforms, where the head of the global football governing body also wrote about what will be the 2026 and 2030 competitions. It is worth mentioning that, for the World Cup's centennial celebration, three matches will be held in our continent.

The 2030 World Cup will be held in Portugal, Spain, and Morocco, but three matches will take place in South America, since the first edition of this competition was played in Uruguayan soil. As a result, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina will each host one match, which also grants direct qualification to these three CONMEBOL teams.
