Peru prepares to face Bolivia in World Cup Qualifiers

In a match that will keep South American football fans on the edge of their seats, the 'bicolor' is getting ready to face the Bolivian national team in the fifth matchday of the Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

This exciting duel will take place at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz, Bolivia, on Thursday, November 16th at 4 pm, Peruvian time.

The 2026 Qualifiers maintain the same format and schedule that have been in place since 1998. The competition officially kicked off on September 7th with the opening matches between Paraguay and Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, and Argentina and Ecuador, in that order.

HISTORY ON BOLIVIAN GROUND

The last time Peru visited Bolivia in 2021, they suffered a 1-0 defeat with a goal from player Ramiro Vaca. Despite controlling much of the match, a crucial mistake just eight minutes from the end cost them dearly.

In addition, Peru has not celebrated a victory at the Hernando Siles during the Qualifiers, having initially lost 2-0 on the road to Russia 2018, although they later won the three points on a technicality.
