Fans and players were not the only ones to lament the sad defeat of the Peruvian national team at the hands of Chile. In fact, journalists like Erick Osores also expressed their discomfort with the performance of the squad, currently led by Juan Reynoso, during the third round of the 2026 Qualifiers.

In a recent edition of 'Equipo F', the communicator left a controversial message about the continuity of the coach in charge of the national team. Meanwhile, he stated that the result of the 'Pacific Classic' left him deeply disappointed.
"I thought that, being Sunday, the anger had dissipated. But I think people are still upset, but above all disappointed. We knew that Juan Reynoso was a coach who would have an opportunity and make some tests. These experiments have been impossible to analyze and understand. An error like this at this level is a 'bomb' to the heart of the fan," he pointed out.
He added, "In that land we don't win because we have nothing to win. That hurts, because it's a classic and we thought we could do it. No one thought we would lose like this. There they did nothing but repeat: 'watch out for Peru's touch'. Not even that. Reynoso has completely disfigured the team. For me, he is no longer the national team coach. He's no longer. He no longer has my support."
Erick Osores confirmed that he supported Reynoso's arrival at first
After making these strong comments, Erick Osores revealed that he had been in favor of hiring Juan Reynoso after Ricardo Gareca's departure.
"I'm getting off the bandwagon. I think there are too many indications and decisions that have hit us, and have left us in a position that cannot be understood. Can you lose? Of course you can. But you can't lose without shooting at the goal. That's impossible, it can't happen. That can happen to San Marino," he said.
