"Clasico del Pacifico": Chile vs Peru

Less than two weeks before a new edition of the "Clasico del Pacifico" between Chile and Peru for Matchday 3 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Chilean national team presented the list of called-up players for the match against Peru.

Called-up Players

In the list presented by coach Eduardo Berizzo, the names of Inter Milan forward Alexis Sánchez, Flamengo midfielder Erick Pulgar, and Vasco da Gama defender Gary Medel stand out, among 21 other players.

Midfielder Arturo Vidal is not included in Berizzo's call-up due to the injury he suffered in the Matchday 2 against Colombia, a match that ended 0-0 in Santiago.

Reynoso's List

It is expected that Peruvian national team coach Juan Reynoso will announce the list of called-up players for the matches against Chile (away) and Argentina (at the National Stadium) on Monday, October 2nd, at 12:00 p.m. at the Videna.

As a reminder, the match against Chile will be played on Thursday, October 12th at 7:00 p.m., and the match against the World Cup champions in Qatar 2022 will be played on Thursday, October 17th at 9:15 p.m. at the José Díaz Stadium.
