Jhonnier Montaño Jr. tras adquirir nacionalidad peruana: “Quiero ser mejor que mi padre” [VIDEO]

El volante Jhonnier Montaño Jr. aseguró que hará todo lo posible para jugar por la Selección peruana.

Jhonnier Montaño Jr. has acquired Peruvian nationality and now trains as a guest with Sporting Cristal's reserve team. The midfielder assured that he will do everything possible to play for the Peruvian national team.

“Thanks to God I have fulfilled one of my dreams: to have Peruvian nationality. At some point, I represented Colombia because it is my parents' country, but now I want and I am willing to play for the Bicolor,” said the son of former Colombian footballer, Jhonnier Montaño, in an interview with Willax Deportes.

“I am a free player, I am a guest in Cristal's reserve team with Jorge Cazulo, I am very happy. I have respect and admiration for professor Cazulo for everything he has done on and off the field”, he added.

Jhonnier Montaño Jr. also indicated that he seeks to be better than his father, as he set the bar very high. He added that his father advised him to be himself on the field.

To be better than my father is what I aim for and what I want. But that man set the bar very high for me. My father advises me and tells me to be myself on the field, to always try to show the best of myself and that is what I do every day,” he concluded.
