Peruvian defender Alexander Callens debuts with AEK Athens
After announcing his move from Girona in Spain to AEK Athens, Peruvian center back Alexander Callens made his debut in his team's 2-1 victory against Panathinaikos.
Despite the three points earned by his new club, the defender, who started the match, had to be substituted in the 58th minute and raised concerns in the Peruvian national team.
The defender left the field due to an injury, but was able to walk off the field on his own. At the moment, AEK Athens has not released any medical report on the player, but there is hope that it is not a serious injury and that he can arrive without any problems for the matches against Chile and Argentina, on matchdays 3 and 4 of the World Cup qualifiers, respectively.
WITHOUT MINUTES WITH PERU
At the start of the qualifiers, Alexander Callens did not play any minutes with Juan Reynoso's team due to physical discomfort.
It is worth remembering that, in the match against Brazil, the center back was on the bench, but the national coach did not give him any playing time.
