Former footballer Roberto Palacios expressed his concern about the level that some players will be presenting who will be called to the Peruvian National Team for the start of the 2026 Qualifiers, where La Bicolor will face Paraguay and Brazil.
However, the 'Chorri' stated that he trusts the ability of coach Juan Reynoso to face the qualifying process in the best way.

"We are all eagerly awaiting the start of these Qualifiers because it is always exciting and beautiful to see your Peruvian national team. We just have to wish Juan all the success so that we can qualify for another World Cup," he said on the program 'Negrini lo sabe' on Radio Ovación
"It is concerning that there are players who are not at their level, but I trust the ability of Juan (Reynoso) to have found the ideal replacements in the local or foreign league," added Roberto Palacios.
Finally, the former national team player mentioned that the young players who are emerging in the Liga 1 Betsson must make an effort if they want to achieve "great things" in the future.
"We know about the qualities of Reyna, Quispe, and other talented boys who are shining in the Liga1 Betsson, but today they cannot wait for the manager to tell them 'go to the gym or eat this way.' Today, these guys have to take care of themselves, that's the only way they will achieve great things in the future," he concluded.
