Purdue updates Purdue Pete logo for 2023 season

Purdue has updated the Purdue Pete logo, and it will make its debut for the 2023 season.

The biggest change is a new celebratory pose.

The school announced that a refresh of the Purdue Athletics department official Purdue Pete will not replace the main logos, but will remain a secondary look for athletics.

Last redesigned in 2016, Purdue Pete’s updated features include an active “Boiler Up” pose and smile, along with the traditional “P” in Purdue’s iconic block-style font. Moreover, 4 color combinations of the logo were created, including the classic Old Gold & Black, make the refreshed Pete the most versatile yet.

The former logo will be retired and moved to the Legacy Collection alongside the previous versions of Purdue Pete.

The football team is enjoying the Ryan Walters honeymoon as the defending West Division champion, though the Boilermakers are trying to replace playmakers like quarterback Aidan O’Connell, prolific wide receiver Charlie Jones, and 7 defensive starters who departed.

Walters, the former Illinois defensive coordinator, will be focused on that side of the ball, but he won’t be calling defensive plays. An intriguing coordinator is former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell, who played in the Red Raiders’ Air Raid style under the late coach Mike Leach.
