On July 25th, Don Omar announced a new collaboration with controversial trap artist Anuel AA. This new musical connection between both urban artists will take place for the first time.
Through a post on his official Instagram account, the 45-year-old singer didn't hesitate to show his excitement for this recorded song and sent an emotional message to the interpreter of "Adicto".
CAN SEE: New direction for Anuel AA? It is speculated about his foray as a betting tipster
"From this day on, I knew that meeting you in person was going to be an agent of change in all the brothers that surround us and that we have in common. Today I listened to what you recorded and I listened to myself 20 years ago. Thank you for collaborating and thanks to Luian (music producer) for making it possible for me to get to know you after so long. New music", reads the description of the post.
In response, Anuel AA indicated that he never thought this collaboration would happen and highlighted that he does not have the vibrato and singing of the veteran reggaeton artist. "You put it really high. Thanks, brother", he said.
The announcement generated a wave of criticism
Despite the expectation for this new musical theme between both urban singers from Puerto Rico, William Omar Landrón's fans did not hesitate to express their rejection and launched various criticisms.
"You insulted yourself, Don. That guy doesn't have an ounce of talent compared to you", "Anuel? Years without appearing and you come with the worst of urban music", "Stop pretending, Don, if Anuel is such a ghost", "I'm not going to listen to your music again, Don Omar", "I lost an idol", among others.
Despite these criticisms, Emmanuel Gazmey made another comment showing that he does not give importance to the criticisms; in fact, he took it in the best way. "Teach me to sing like you so that these bastards give it to me", was his comment.
