Corinthians would be evaluating not showing up at the Monumental on Tuesday to face Universitario. This is due to a security alert, Brazilian media reported before the second leg match between both teams for the Copa Sudamericana playoffs.

The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and the 'Timao' is in Lima, however, the Brazilian team would be considering the possibility of not going to the stadium in Ate after a police recommendation.
According to ESPN Brazil, "the delegation received instructions from the local police to go to the Monumental de la 'U' Stadium on a corporation (PNP) bus for security reasons," as "authorities fear stoning and attacks by Universitario fans."
The warning would have been taken into account by the Corinthians board, who would be concerned about the security of their members despite the fact that there have been no incidents in the transfer of the São Paulo squad through the capital so far.
Corinthians is in Lima with its own security waiting for their rematch against Universitario for the passage to the Sudamericana round of 16.
