In an extensive interview with ESPN, the 'Predator' relived those periods when he couldn't be on the field, such as when he had knee problems and also when he was punished by FIFA for testing positive on a doping test.
"I was out for so long because of my knee injury that it affected me psychologically. Also because of the doping. I couldn't visit my teammates or go to a stadium," said Paolo Guerrero.
Likewise, the former Racing Club forward pointed out that at the moment he is in a great condition to play when called up, either with the Peruvian national team or with the team that comes. However, he clarified that he does not yet consider the end of his football career.
"I want to play, that's why I take care of myself, that's why I work, that's why I'm a professional. I'm analyzing proposals. My life is football... I didn't think about leaving football. How could I leave it? It affects me. It's hard for me to say that it's over," said Paolo Guerrero.
