In an interview with Gianfranco Granda, a sports journalist from Gol Peru, the great 'Checho' revealed a special detail about his long career. Despite being sought after by the best clubs in the country, he never had the chance to wear a particular team's jersey.
In a joking manner on 'Tiempo Muerto', Ibarra revealed that Sporting Cristal was never interested in his abilities. "They didn't even call me to wash the players' cars", were the words of the Copa Sudamericana champion with Cienciano.
