The forward of the Peruvian National Team arrived in Seoul last Sunday to join the training sessions. The '9' spoke with the press, touched on various topics, and showed some discomfort with the criticism towards his age.

A large part of the Peruvian National Team is already in Seoul for a few days, concentrating for the upcoming friendly matches against South Korea and Japan, on the 16th and 20th of this month, respectively (note, these are the final exams before the start of the qualifiers in September). And from this Sunday, new convoked players started to join, and of course, Paolo Guerrero was one of them, who is called up again after a year and a half. Undoubtedly, his goal is to contribute all his experience to Juan Reynoso's scheme.

The 'Predator' played his last match with the 'Blanquirroja' on October 7, 2021, in the 2-0 victory over Chile on matchday 11 of the Qatar 2022 qualifiers. Although since then his physical condition did not allow him to have the continuity he expected, the 'Chess Player' met with him in Argentina - at the facilities of Racing Club - and was convinced that his hierarchy is key in the group.

Upon his arrival in Asian soil, Paolo spoke with the cameras of Fútbol en América and touched on various topics. The first of them was Gianluca Lapadula's recent promotion to Serie A, after Cagliari defeated Bari 1-0 in the second leg final of the Serie B playoffs. He congratulated 'Bambino' for returning to the highest category of Italian football, in addition to referring to the competition that will exist between him, Alex Valera, and himself for a spot in Reynoso's starting eleven.

"My congratulations to him, he has made a great effort to be in Serie A and returns to competitive football. There's Valera, who has been doing things well in Peru. As I spoke with Juan Reynoso, he was clear with me too... whoever is better, will play. The trainings will be very competitive, because the three of us want to play," he said.
