One of the things that has kept all Peruvian fans uncertain is whether Juan Reynoso will actually have the team play some matches of the Qualifiers in Arequipa, in order to take advantage of the altitude against their rivals.

For that reason, the coach of the national team decided to clarify the issue and say that, at the moment, it is not a priority to see the White and Red playing in high-altitude cities.
And one of the reasons why he has stated this is because he feels that altitude does not guarantee that they can get three fixed points, as he even affirmed that it is likely that the squad may suffer just like their rivals.
"Today it is not a priority. I would think about it in the medium or long term. Much will depend on altitude players starting to stand out or make a difference that guarantees us more points. Today, going to high altitude is perhaps suffering the same as the rivals," he said on RPP.

Regardless, Juan Reynoso left open the possibility of seeing the Peruvian national team playing at high altitude in the medium term. "That's why I think it can be a possibility in the medium term," he concluded.
