From 1998 to 2001, Christopher Daniels was part of the WWF after signing a development contract, he was sent to the Funkin Dojo to train with Dory Funk Jr. His debut took place on January 19, 1998. Daniels' time in the company did not have much brilliance, the most notable part of his participation in the company was his match against Jerry Lynn for the now defunct WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, after being released, he began his career on the independent circuit where he has managed to be a champion in all the promotions he has belonged to.

He has worked for companies like Ring Of Honor, TNA, New Japan Pro Wrestling, among others. Recently, he took part in a question and answer session on Reddit, here are some highlights:

Those who went from WWE to TNA had an ego:

"Yes, one person in particular, but I'm not going to give names. I can mention guys who weren't like that. Guys like Angle and Christian, they were very generous with their knowledge and wanted to help. Some guys work at that higher level and depending on that they move to different levels. Whether they have that attitude or come with new eyes, it just depends on the person."

If it could end up in WWE:

"Personally, I haven't been offered the opportunity to fight in WWE again. I feel like they probably see me as too old. But I am happy because guys like Styles, Joe, and Aries can be seen by a wider range of fans. I always knew they had the talent to work there and at that level, they just needed the opportunity and finally got it."

Having wrestled for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship:

"I don't think they even told me it was a real opportunity for the title. I knew it was a title match because I was in the ring. It was a pleasure to work with Jerry, and I think this was our first match. I had always wanted to be part of the WWE Light Heavyweight division, and I had hoped that having a good match with Jerry would lead to that, but obviously it wasn't the case."
