Request to Debate in Arequipa

The Governors of the Southern Macro Region requested both presidential candidates to debate in Arequipa, in order to address the main problems of the region.

Both presidential candidates would debate on May 13 and discuss topics related to the Southern Macro Region, which includes the departments of Arequipa, Moquegua, Tacna, Cusco, Madre de Dios, and Puno.

Main Topics

The debate would focus on four main topics, namely: decentralization, the Southern Peruvian Gas Pipeline, infrastructure for the Southern Macro Region, and prevention and resolution of social and environmental conflicts.
