The Argentine midfielder of Atlético de Madrid, Rodrigo de Paul, suffers a muscle injury in his left leg, which means he will miss the league derby against Real Madrid on Saturday.
De Paul "suffers a muscle injury in his left thigh," Atlético confirmed this Wednesday in a statement, after the player underwent medical tests.
The red and whites team does not specify the player's recovery time, only stating that "it remains pending evolution," but according to the local press, it could be sidelined for two to three weeks.
De Paul would miss the league derby on Saturday against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Argentinean was injured last weekend in the Spanish championship match against Athletic Bilbao (1-0 victory).
